IBS Awareness Month

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is the most common disorder of the digestive system, with up to a third of the population experiencing symptoms. IBS can happen at any age, but the most common age to seek advice for the first time is between 20 and 40.
The main symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) are pain, bloating, diarrhoea and constipation. Flare-ups of IBS can happen for no reason, but can be triggered by alcohol, caffeine, certain foods or stress and anxiety.
